Monetary pressure, inflation dynamics and structural shocks in Pakistan

The objective of the study was to analyze whether changes in money supply can account for variations inflation dynamics presence structural breaks by using data period 1970-2019. Zivot Andrews (one break) and Lee Strazicich (two breaks) unit root tests were used detect shocks. To determine long run relationship shocks, Gregory & Hansen (1996) Cointegration test used. Results show a robust long-run between inflation, supply, interest rate, output. empirical evidence that monetary pressure has significant role Pakistan, especially As policy measure, tight with increasing rates should help reduce growth moderate Pakistan.
